Meditative Hatha Yoga - Hastings

Hatha Yoga is the practice of Asana (yoga posture) to balance and harmonise body, mind and heart. This ancient form of practice is the foundation of all the contemporary styles of yoga. In traditional Hatha Yoga, we approach asana as a practice for all levels of our being - physical, mental, but also the level of presence and peaceful stillness. Thus each posture is a tool for awakening, a pathway of returning Home, to the core of our being, which is bliss. The postures are held longer which brings a perfect balance between Yin and Yang elements, between effort and relaxation, engagement and ease.
