"What I learned in Africa"
"What I learned in Africa”, Peter Edmead.
Peter started his working career as a consultant engineer on projects like the Thames Barrier project and the construction of Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia, then worked all over the world, including the North Sea, Louisiana, USA and South Korea.
Peter opted for a career change that would allow him to be at home and became a science teacher at Hampton Academy in West London, where he taught for most of his time as Head of Science. He also set up links with schools in Kenya and regularly visited to teach there as a volunteer.
He will share with us some of his East African experience.
