Learn to weave stories with tiny glass beads
In the first of two workshops, you’ll begin your journey into the world of beadweaving - learning how to transform tiny beads into beautiful, wearable jewellery or 3D pieces.
You’ll be introduced to:
The endless variety of beads-exploring their colours, shapes, sizes , and configurations
Different types of beading threads and how to use them
Beading needles in various sizes and their specific purposes
Essential tools for beadwork and how they’re used
Findings and the many way to ‘close the gap’ in your creations
Core techniques for joining beads to make the piece included in your workshop
This is a hands-on project in which you will create a spiral rope using the materials you will receive in a kit to complete it as a rope or bracelet.
As well as all the beads required for the rope, we include:
Two beading needles; beading thread; beading mat
