Meditation is about becoming free of looking outside yourself for things to make you happy. Happiness is an inside job. Meditation helps make your inner environment as beautiful as the ocean, mountains, rivers and trees that surround us.

Tell us a bit more about what you do and more about meditation.

Modern Medicine tells us that all the major diseases we face are based on inflammation and that stress is the man driver of that inflammation.

Stress makes dis-ease, so it makes sense to train ourselves to manage stress better. Rest and relaxation help, along with healthy food and exercise but meditation takes self-care a step further.

We can train ourselves to be in a state of relaxed alertness so we aren’t wasting our energy worrying about what is coming in the future or what has happened in the past.

We teach meditation courses that help people to engage more fully in life and create a kinder relationship with oneself and those around us.

Tell us bit more about the April School Holiday Programme you offer. Who can attend?

Anyone can learn meditation, no-one is too young or too old and you don’t have to be fit and able for anything. If you can breathe you can meditate. If you want to learn there is a way to learn.

The style of mediation we teach is called Calm Abiding Meditation and is usually practiced sitting up with your eyes open. It is not a relaxation technique, but you will feel relaxed afterwards.

With over 20 years experience in teaching yoga and meditation Clare has many ways to help you engage with your mind and make the learning experience easy and fun. This April School Holiday Course is designed for high school students.

Let us know if you would like a course designed for your age or interest group and we can create that for you.

What can people expect when attending your School Holiday course?

People will learn how to notice what is going on in their minds, how they are feeling in their bodies and how to let go of unpleasant sensations and create enjoyable sensations. We will practice placing our mind onto different objects and find out which ones engage our interest and how to keep returning our mind to that object. This is all part of making friends with ourselves and helps us be more understanding and aware of others.

What are the benefits of attending your course?

Having more tools for dealing with difficult feelings and thoughts.

Meeting other people who are interested in becoming calmer and happier.

Having more energy to put into the things you’re interested in.

Confidence in creating good habits for yourself and recognising the good things you are already doing for yourself and others.

Feeling more comfortable with yourself and others.
