Mosaics can take you away from the everyday stresses in life. It's like doing a jigsaw puzzle but you get to choose where the pieces go and you can create the puzzle as you go.
Q: Tell us a bit more about why you started Love Mosaics.
A: I was totally inspired to do mosaics after a trip through Park Guell in Barcelona many years ago. I am attracted to colour and texture and love the endless possibilities that mosaics offer. The first project I made was a tribute to all our cats who had passed on.
Q Tell us about the classes and workshops you offer. Who can attend?
A: I am so passionate about mosaics that I love sharing the craft with others. My classes are suitable for anyone from 8 to adult and are most suited to beginners. I offer a large selection of tiles and a selection of bases. I am also happy for people to bring their own bases or something they would like to upcycle by adding a mosaic touch.
Q: What can people expect when attending your class?
A: I have had some amazing feedback from classes, especially with regard to children with learning disabilities and ones who can't sit still, they get so engrossed with choosing colours and creating their own design and then have a great sense of achievement when they see their finished art piece. I have also had adults who feel they are not good at crafts and design but produce some amazing work and are very proud of their achievements. Participating in a classes’ allows you to share ideas and gets your creative juices flowing.
Q: What are the benefits of attending a mosaics class or workshops?
